Today is March 3rd, 2014 which means that exactly 6 months ago today on September 3rd, 2013, I gave birth to the most beautiful being I have ever seen in my entire life, Alexander James. Every individual day goes by so incredibly slow with the sleepless nights, endless amounts of spit-up being cleaned and diaper explosions everywhere. Yes, the days go by so slow, but 6 months flew by faster than I could blink. I still remember the most amazing feeling I have ever felt as my son was placed into my arms for the very first time. I remember how hard I worked to get him here, how tired I was, and how much I was in pain. I remember forgetting all of that when his skin touched mine. That little, perfect miracle. 6 months later, my son has developed beautifully and has learned to sit on his own, eat solid foods and explore the beauty of the world around him (at least within a 1 foot diameter of where he sits). He laughs and speaks often. He loves to swim (with help of course) and he loves flirting with the ladies. My son is always putting smiles on strangers faces. There is not a minute that goes by where I don’t feel incredibly blessed to have been given the honor of being his mother. Happy Half-Birthday baby boy!
